RUBEN PANG - ARTIST CATALOG
Ruben Pang is a 2010 Fine Art graduate from the LASALLE College of the Arts. The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) featured his works in "The Singapore Show: Future Proof" exhibition, in which he was identified as a rising star of Singapore contemporary art scene. Pang’s artistic process focuses on automatism, the neurosis and drama of the human condition. Beginning with painting, Pang’s practice has also led him to explore the dynamism and spontaneity of ceramic sculpture and the sensitivities and collaborative spirit of music through A Talon Touches a Lake.
Pang resists binaries in genres such as ‘abstraction’ and ‘figuration’ and embraces both experimental and traditional approaches, often combining both within the same painting.
This catalog contains essays and installation views of Ruben Pang's solo shows as well as all the museum exhoibition and insittutional participations.
