#Serialmania. Narrative Imaginaries from Twin Peaks to Squid Game

Agostino Arrivabene's work at the National Cinema Museum of Torino
The National Cinema Museum of Torino presents, from October 14, 2024 to February 24, 2025, the exhibition #Serialmania. Narrative Imaginaries from Twin Peaks to Squid Game curated by Luca Beatrice and Luigi Mascheroni.

Set up on the reception floor of the Mole Antonelliana, it will be the first exhibition in Italy dedicated to TV series: a journey through cinema and seriality from the 1990s to the present that explores twelve iconic series, including Breaking Bad, Friends, House of Cards and Mare Fuori, in a path that interweaves art and contemporary imagery.

Scattered among shots and sequences are many references to art along the exhibition's path: Gregory Crewdson's photographs of American suburbia even seem like quotations from Twin Peaks, Mario Schifano is a kind of anti-hero in 1970s Rome featured in Crime Novel, and Alejandro Cartagenaric images of Car Poolers are stringently reminiscent of the misadventures of Breaking Bad.

Within the exhibition itinerary is Agostino Arrivabene's work:
