Primo Marella Gallery is pleased to announce Joël Andrianomearisoa participation in numerous projects and collaborations. This month we highlight you these crucial projects:
October 17 — 22, 2023 | Joël Andrianomearisoa
Paris+ Hors les murs
Opening: Tuesday October 17th - 5pm to 6 pm
“Serenade Serenade
Serenade And The Triumph Of Romance”
The project is inspired by Fragonard’s emblematic series The Progress of Love, but also by the chosen fountain whose theme is Daphne pursued by Apollo. A serenade that travels through space but also through our romantic imaginations.
Joël Andrianomearisoa offers us here an installation in 15 chapters thus making us penetrate the process of the serenade until the triumphant love and well beyond.
The installation is a representation of these steps as trophies to be held up to affirm the vital necessity of serenading and sentimentality. The work will revolve around fifteen glass vases, each placed on a metal base. The vases will be pierced at their bottom so that they can never fill up and the water will flow through.
October 18 — November 13, 2023 | Joël Andrianomearisoa

Diptyque, Paris+ par Art Basel
“Un Autre Monde”
Diptyque gives carte blanche to the artist Joël Andrianomearisoa for the 2023 edition of Paris+ par Art Basel. Diptyque renews its practice of artistic commissions and gives carte blanche to Joël Andrianomearisoa for Paris+ par Art Basel. The artist will present a new work: a poetic trilogy in varied materials, inviting us to dream of another world.
Diptyque’s relationship with creation dates back to the origins of the Maison, itself born from the meeting of three multidisciplinary artists. With the conviction that art is a fertile ground for imagination, the Maison has continued to affirm the power of artistic practice ever since. It has supported creativity in all its forms, namely expanding the number of collaborations with artists, who are invited to share their sensitivity and vision and to build new poetic imaginations.
In 2023, participating in Paris+ par Art Basel for the first time, Diptyque resumes the collaboration begun two years prior as part of the Grand Tour with the artist Joël Andrianomearisoa. The Maison gives him carte blanche to create an original work where imagination — the real or dreamed journey, and the perfume L’Autre, which he wears and has chosen for its ability to transport elsewhere — hold a central place. The materiality of emotions, so dear to the artist, is expressed in a poetic way.
