CHRISTIAN DIOR : DESIGNER OF DREAMS
MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART . TOKYO . JAPAN, 2023
After its success at the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris, the exhibition Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams reopens its doors at MOT, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, from 21 December 2022 to 28 May 2023, under the supervision of curator Florence Müller. Thanks to a new scenographic narrative, conceived by architect Shohei Shigematsu of the New York agency OMA as a heartfelt homage to Japanese culture, the event crowns more than seventy-five years of creative passion, which began with the pioneering vision of Christian Dior.
The visit, conceived as an invitation to explore the life of the legendary French fashion designer, opens with a prelude highlighting his love of art.
The exhibition featured an incredible installation by Joël Andrianomearisoa titled "LES SAISONS IMAGINAIRES" at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Tokyo, Japan. The work featured by Joël, is made of 1,000 Dior scarves, which creates a poetic landscape using textile and colour as a universal language.
