Alessandro Sicioldr at biblioteca classense, ravenna

Alessandro Sicioldr presents the artwork "Solstizio D’Inverno"

On Wednesday 21 December at 5 p.m. in Ravenna, in the Sala del Mosaico of the Classense Library, the new great pictorial work by Alessandro Sicioldr, created and conceived in dialogue with the precious mosaic floor element from the 6th century A.D. housed in the Sala del Mosaico, will be presented to the public.

After the latest artistic interventions by Alessandro Pessoli, Piero Pizzi Cannella, Nicola Verlato, Santi Moix, Nicola Samorì and several other artists, the cycle "Ascoltare Bellezza" hosts another important Italian painter, Alessandro Sicioldr, the protagonist of this new homage to the city of Ravenna.

Sicioldr, who will be present at the opening event, was born in 1990 in Tarquinia and is considered one of the most interesting painters of his generation.

His painted subjects are images from the unconscious, which he represents with a mixture of contemporary and traditional techniques. In his works, he creates dreamlike atmospheres in which personal visions and suggestions merge with historical symbols and imagery. In spite of his young age, the artist has already attracted international attention, demonstrating great technical skill and visionary ability supported by studies spanning several disciplinary fields.

The initiative is promoted by the Culture Department of the Municipality of Ravenna; Istituzione Biblioteca Classense; MAR - Ravenna City Art Museum and is curated by Paolo Trioschi.
